THE RULES

Qualifying for the Invitational

• Total of ten positions are available in each class at the Invitational

• A minimum of two qualifiers must be shot with no maximum limit.

• Top two points of each participant will be used for ranking and to qualify.

• Top ten points in each class will move on to the Invitational.

• Invitational slots will be filled with qualified participants until all ten slots are filled.

  Invitational Handicap

• The Invitational will be run as a concurrent on the first day of the two day, 200 bird AFS National Championship.

• The Invitational is the 100 targets shot on Saturday. All competitors will shoot the same targets.

• The shooter in each class who wins the the first 100 birds of the 200 bird main event will go on to a 50 bird Super Final shoot off.

• The scores will start from zero and will not be added to the main event scores.

• The handicap is determined by each shooters top two qualifying scores and their Invitational score. Those handicaps are established by the difference between their score and HOA at each of the events that are used to establish their handicap.

• The total of all three handicaps is divided by 3 (or 2.5 on score is the Tucson qualifier) resulting in a 100 target handicap.

• The Super final is 50 targets so the 100 target handicap is divided by two.

• The person will the lowest handicap is dropped to zero and the remain Super Final shooters have the lowest handicap total subtracted from each of their handicaps.

Invitational Details

• Your Invitational Class is established by the first qualifier you shoot. That will be your class at the invitational.

• Shooters must shoot each qualifier in their current NSCA Class and follow all the AFS rules in that class. The score will map back to the class established at the first Classic qualifier shot.

• Shooters will shoot the invitational in the class they shot at their first qualifier. (If you started in A and you are now a Master you will shoot the Invitational in A Class with A Class AFS rules)

• The Invitational will be a concurrent of the 2022 AFS National Championship.

• All rankings and prizes for the 2022 AFS National Championship will also be available to participants in the Invitational.

• Gamebore ammo with be available at the Invitational and must be used during the Invitational to win.

The International Field Sporting Association and Gamebore US reserve the right to amend the rules as they see fit. Participating in qualifying shoots indicates shooters have read and understand the rules and will hold IFSA, Gamebore US, and event organizers harmless.
